I have been practicing general dentistry since 2008, and I was certified in Invisalign while in dental school at UIC. Back then, my belief in Invisalign was not solid, and it deterred me from taking on even simpler cases because I did not trust the product as much as traditional orthodontics.

That changed dramatically—and almost immediately—after meeting Dr. Ibrahim. Her passion for orthodontics and her unwavering belief in Invisalign were remarkable. Even at that time, she firmly believed that the future of orthodontics was Invisalign.

There were several situations where I felt stuck, including cases in which patients had previously been told they needed orthognathic surgery—a topic Dr. Ibrahim is deeply passionate about. Upon consulting with her, I came to realize that even Class III skeletal cases could be successfully treated with Invisalign, eliminating the need for orthognathic surgery. This is truly life-changing for many patients.

Her coaching and mentorship throughout the years have been the most valuable contribution to my ability to provide the quality dentistry I’ve always strived to offer my patients.

One thing Dr. Ibrahim mentioned that has always stayed with me is the idea that no matter how complex a case may be, Invisalign can improve the outcome. And if the outcome improves, so does the patient’s smile, sense of well-being, and overall quality of life.

Dr. Ibrahim’s support and mentorship have allowed me to handle more complicated cases—often more than many of my peers—with greater predictability, leading to better case management and more satisfied patients. Her excitement and enthusiasm for orthodontics, and for Invisalign in particular, are truly infectious. It’s impossible not to be inspired by the joy that a beautiful smile can bring to a patient in the chair.

Her depth of knowledge—not only in orthodontics but also in the cutting-edge technology behind Invisalign—has been invaluable. She has helped every practitioner she mentors grow in their clinical journey and deliver the highest level of care to their patients.
